The city of Shijiazhuang in north China has developed a new logistics park, the largest of its kind in the area, reports mainland publication Logistics Week.
The facility has an annual container handling capacity of 100,000 TEU, covers an area measuring 22 hectares and enjoys convenient transportation links being located within a transport hub.
The logistics park is partnering with the Tianjin port group to provide land and sea intermodal services, which the report said will reduce existing transportation costs by 20 per cent to 40 per cent.
