QANTAS plans to raise the frequency of its New York services from five each week to daily service, starting August 14.
The two extra New York flights each week will be operated from Sydney via Los Angeles, offering greater access to markets on the US east coast.
Qantas has increased its New York services twice in the past 18 months, partly due to working in partnership with the Australian Consulate General, Tourism Australia and the Australian Trade Commission to promote Australia in the US.
The new Qantas schedule will comprise: 35 flights per week to Los Angeles, with an additional three flights every week between June 19 and July 28, totalling 38 flights per week for this period; seven flights per week to New York via Los Angeles; five flights per week to San Francisco; three flights per week to Honolulu; and three flights per week to Vancouver via San Francisco, operated as a seasonal service between June 13 and August 12, a statement from the carrier said.
