Mediterranean Shipping Co has announced revised plans for its Angola Express Service, including a new direct call at the Moroccan port of Casablanca, continuing the trend among lines enhancing their West Africa networks as box business in the region grows.
The revised loop will also call at two of the giant ports in Europe's northern range, namely Antwerp and Rotterdam, and then France's Bassens.
Deploying a total of six vessels with a nominal capacity of 2,000 teu, MSC will launch the enhanced service on September 18 whenNikolas is scheduled to embark from Rotterdam.
After leaving Rotterdam, the Angola Express will call Rotterdam, Antwerp and Bassens, before heading to Casablanca and the Senegal's Luanda via Las Palmas and Conakry. On its return to Europe's largest box port Rotterdam the loop will make a further stopover in Dakar, Senegal.
MSC said that transit times, as well as final scheduled departures, would be communicated to its customers shortly.
