Spencer Ogden, the international energy recruitment firm, has been recognised as one of the top businesses for international trade; highlighted on the International Fast Track 200 and recognised by the Queen's Awards for Enterprise.
Published in yesterday's annual Sunday Times report, the company was listed on the International Fast Track 200 as one of Britain's fastest growing companies for international sales. The list identifies those companies who have made a significant contribution to the UK's economy in the past two years, driving both revenue and employment.
Spencer Ogden, which already has offices in over 13 international energy hubs, is the first recruitment consultancy to service the entire end-to-end energy sector. The focus on all energy industries, from oil and gas to renewables and project financing to distribution, is a key driver for the businesses growth and central to its innovative approach.
The company was ranked in the top 20 international businesses on the list of 200, coming in at number 17. Its plans to expand further into Brazil, Russia, China, North America and West Africa have supported this placement; seeing an average international sales growth of over 108% per year.
Today also marks another important milestone for the business, when it will receive the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2014. The accolade will be awarded to the company, which was founded by David Spencer-Percival and Sir Peter Ogden in 2010, by Her Majesty the Queen.
This year's Queens Awards for Enterprise recognised 110 businesses who had achieved significant international commercial growth, relative to their size and sector.
Since inception, Spencer Ogden has grown from a headcount of just 25 to over 400 employees globally. Its annual turnover for 2013 was £50.3million and the business is on track to reach a target of £75 million in 2014.
David Spencer-Percival, CEO, said, "We are incredibly proud of all that we have achieved in just less than four years, and these two awards are recognition of that.
Receiving such a prestigious award from Her Majesty the Queen, as well as being recognised as one of the fastest growing international businesses, is testament to our ability to innovate. It also highlights the huge contribution mid-market businesses like ours have on the UK economy."
Our unique focus on the entire energy sector means we have to continually adapt to the changing landscape. The hard work and dedication of our consultants are what has supported our growth to date, and will continue to be an asset as we expand the international business moving forward."
