Oakland secures quality award for Irish depot

WORCESTERSHIRE supply chain group, Oakland International, has attained the British Retailers Consortium's quality audit for storage and distribution for its Irish depot.
Oakland's general manager in Ireland, Richard Hill, said: "BRC approval is a prestigious, global standard which provides positive recognition for our customers that we are ranked amongst the very best and highly rated as a supply chain partner. This is the first time we have applied, so we are therefore extremely delighted to secure the standard."
One of the first in its sector to achieve BRC standard for storage and distribution in the UK, Oakland said the award gave its customers a controlled quality standard allowing suppliers and their retail and wholesale customers improved confidence in the services of offer.
BRC accreditation demonstrates consistency and care in Oakland's supply chain operation which encompasses order picking and packing.
Oakland's quality assurance manager, Louise Smith, added: "We are all absolutely thrilled at not only passing, but at coming through the audit with such positive feedback. Our team's personal dedication continues to ensure attention to detail and flexibility of service offer, delivering confident results time after time to ensure we retain customer confidence and now BRC accreditation."
