Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) will hold a two-hour-long dharna outside railway stations in Goa on July 7 from 11am onwards on the opening day of the Budget session of the Parliament, to demand a roll-back of the rail fare hike.
The protest will be held at Pernem, Tivim, Karmali, Margao, Vasco and Canacona stations where party leaders would participate.
He added that opposition leader Pratapsingh Rane will join the dharna at Tivim railway station and GPCC president John Fernandes will participate at Karmali.
The Union government had hiked the passenger and freight charges, evoking sharp protests from the public.
