CEVA appoints Brett Bissell as COO, Contract Logistics

Swiss-based CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain companies, has announced the appointment of Brett Bissell as chief operating officer of Contract Logistics.
Mr Bissell will report to CEVA's chief executive officer and member of the board, Xavier Urbain where he will play a key role in leading strategy, process, KPIs and growing the company's key global contract logistics line.
Mr Bissell, a senior executive with more than 20 years of extensive international experience, previously serving at Flextronics International that include leading roles of vice president and country manager for Brazil, as well as general manager in Nagoya Japan. Prior to Flextronics, he served in operational roles at Qualcomm, Motorola and Toshiba.
He joined CEVA in 2011 as executive vice president, Latin America, where he was responsible for building a strong team that transformed CEVA's business and prospects in the region.
"Brett's strong track record and experience both at CEVA and prior to joining the company gives him an excellent understanding of Contract Logistics from the provider side as well as the customer side," said CEVA chief executive officer Xavier Urbain.
Mr Bissell holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, (MSEE) from the School of Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Union College in Schenectady, New York, according to Shipping Gazette.
