Campbell to return to Heathrow for community service

2008-6-24

Ageing temper tantrum prone supermodel Naomi Campbell will have to return to Heathrow Airport to serve her 200 hours community service - equivalent to four 40 hour weeks - The People newspaper reports. It says that she 'will be ordered to welcome new arrivals to Britain with a smile and a kind word.'

A 'probation source' told the newspaper: 'Her job will be to liaise with passengers coming from abroad and give speeches to them about life in Britain. It will utilise her position as a celebrity. She will be based near passport control and spend more than a week speaking to asylum seekers and people seeking a new life here. She will be a kind of face of Britain.'

'The probation service will come to a decision in the next few days but it seems she will be working back at Heathrow. But it won't be cleaning the airport toilets [as she did last year after being sentence for throwing a phone as her PA] because that's gone out to contractors.'
