Continental to launch Heathrow ¨C New York and Houston flights on March 30

US carrier Continental Airlines has announced that it will start twice daily flights from Heathrow Airport to New York Newark and to Houston from March 30. The flights will operate using two aircraft types - the 283 seat Boeing 777-200, including a 28 seat Business First cabin; and the 174 seat Boeing 767-200ER, with 25 Business First seats.

Heathrow will be the eighth UK airport to be served by Continental. The airline already flies nonstop to London Gatwick, Manchester, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Shannon. Continental will continue to offer twice daily flights from Gatwick to New York and daily to Houston, as well as seasonal daily flights to Cleveland.
