JCtrans: Hello, Mr. Gary Littlehales. Firstly, will you please make a brief introduction of Supreme Freight Services Ltd?
Mr. Gary Littlehales: We are an international freight forwarding company trading for 27 years, specializing in the field of air freight, sea freight, FCL, LCL and project shipping all around the world with a big emphasis on Asia and the Sub Continent, USA, Australia and Europe. We also handle customs clearance and payment of import duties and taxes on behalf of ours customers. Our services also include UK warehousing, storage, delivery, pick and pack, classification with HM revenue and Customs regarding commodity codes for products imported by our customers.
JCtrans: We know Supreme Freight Services Ltd has a long history. What do you think are your competitive advantages in this industry?

JCtrans: Nowadays, the competition in logistics industry is fiercer and fiercer. What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?
Mr. Gary Littlehales: You have to be competitive in the market, and also be able to meet the ever changing requirements of your customers, which is constantly changing partly due to the World Recession that we are currently experiencing for the last three or four years.
JCtrans: Would you please talk about the current logistics industry in the United Kingdom? Are there any advantages or problems?
Mr. Gary Littlehales: The UK has the most mature logistics market in Europe, as it has been de-regulated for a long time. This maturity has seen high degrees of competition and falling margins. This has prompted many of the major players to seek growth in other markets in mainland Europe, USA and Asia Pacific.
Now the logistics industry in UK is very competitive at the moment, due to the rise in ocean and airfreight rates and the cost of fuel which is changing almost on a daily basis.
And the UK logistics industry is also facing a possible skills shortage in general if the industry does not engage young people more effectively. The industry needs a steady stream of fresh talent into the sector and so needs to raise its profile.
Finally, the greater complexity of supply chains has heightened risk for logistics operators and so they need the 4R's, responsiveness, reliability, resilience, and relationships to function effectively.
JCtrans: Finally, will you please talk about the prospect of Supreme Freight Services Ltd? Or what's your strategic planning for the next 3 or 5 years?
Mr. Gary Littlehales: We plan to expand our agent network worldwide over the next three to five years and look at different markets perhaps in South America and Africa.
