Lufthansa Consulting has founded Lufthansa Consulting Ltda. (Limitada), a legal entity in Brazil as the representative and operational base for its activities in South America.
The opening of an office in Rio de Janeiro demonstrates the significance of this market for the aviation consultancy and reinforces the company’s close-to-clients philosophy.
The aviation industry in this region has been growing constantly during the last years.
Ms. Liége Emmerz, Lufthansa Consulting’s Associate Partner responsible for South America, has been appointed Administrative Officer of the local company. With this step Lufthansa Consulting plans to create new consultancy jobs to high potential Brazilian experts within an attractive aviation environment. The consulting services for clients in this region are the perfect mixture of local know-how and cultural understanding combined with international industry best practice in aviation.
The management consultancy has supported the aviation sector as well as related industries, such as logistics companies and railway companies or ports throughout the world for over 25 years. In South America the most relevant issues are airport privatization, airport management, air cargo, airline low-cost topics and network management as well as operational excellence.
One of the key ongoing projects in South America is the implementation of flight safety management systems, among many other projects, at Brazil’s leading national oil company Petrobras. They operate the largest oil company helicopter fleet worldwide. Further recent assignments include the cargo terminal enhancement at GRU International Airport in São Paulo, and the network optimization and fleet plan validation at Brazil’s regional carrier TRIP Airlines.
