Going forward, Eurowings will be using Lido/eRouteManual, the electronic navigation charts from Lufthansa Systems. The airline has been flying with Lido/RouteManual for several years. Both companies recently signed a five-year contract.
Lido/eRouteManual from Lufthansa Systems includes electronic charts for take-off and landing as well as airport and route charts. These charts are generated directly from the Lido navigation database, which contains worldwide aeronautical information and topographical data. One benefit of electronic charts is that they can be updated more quickly and easily than paper charts, since updated charts no longer need to be printed out and distributed to each cockpit. Cockpit crews can also determine the level of detail presented by the charts.
Eurowings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and operates flights on behalf of Lufthansa. With a fleet of 23 CRJ900 regional aircraft, Eurowings serves more than 50 national and European destinations of Lufthansa’s route network from its hubs in Dьsseldorf and Hamburg.
