Japan’s largest airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) will continue using ProfitLine/Price from Lufthansa Systems for calculating competitive prices. A five-year contract renewal to this effect was signed recently. Using ProfitLine/Price enables ANA to respond to developments in the market and among competitors quickly, flexibly and individually, and to demonstrably boost revenues.
"Lufthansa Systems supports us in optimizing our pricing processes and successfully implementing proactive pricing campaigns,” said Shinichi Abe, Vice President Revenue Management at ANA.
ProfitLine/Price automates processes, makes them manageable and creates the necessary leeway for controlling them actively. The system covers all reactive and proactive pricing processes for both published prices and market prices. In addition to enabling airlines to respond quickly to market changes, the system also offers powerful analytical tools for developing effective pricing strategies.
"We are proud to be able to further expand our cooperation with ANA. As Japan’s largest airline and one of the leading airlines in Asia, ANA is a strategically important partner to us and the entire Lufthansa Group,” said Olivier Krüger, SVP Regional Management Asia/Pacific at Lufthansa Systems.
By consolidating its own fare data in a single system, the airline can avoid irregularities and provide all user groups at ANA – such as sales, distribution or revenue management – with identical fare data and rule conditions. ProfitLine/Price offers ANA a comprehensive overview of both its own fare structures and those of competitors in all relevant markets, thereby reducing possible conflicts between reactive and proactive pricing decisions.
