Ontario's Hamilton airport to open US$10.8 million air cargo facility

Hamilton's John C Munro International airport is to open a C$12 million (US$10.8 million) air cargo facility in 2015) in partnership with federal and provincial and the local TradePort International Corporation.
The new facility will stand on redeveloped parcel land with direct airside access part of a city initiative, Airport Employment Growth District, to develop lands around airports for light industrial and commercial activities.
The hub will provide specialised handling environments, multiple trucking docks in order to support new products such as pharmaceutical, biomedical, automobile manufacturing and perishable goods.
The third largest cargo airport in Canada has opened up bidding for the construction tender, according to Shipping Gazette.
