Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said the government has decided to earmark US$1.5 billion to bail out the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Itar-Tass reported.
Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov specified UAC will receive $453 million for the production of civilian aircraft and $1.1 billion to repay debts, including $256 million to repay accrued interest.
"The UAC has received a new package of orders and has formed the package of contracts up to 2014," Ivanov said. |
