SEOUL: Korean Air Lines, the world's largest air cargo carrier, has signed a formal deal with state-run Uzbekistan Airways to expand co-operation in international air cargo services.
The two carriers struck a preliminary deal in May to build an international logistics centre at Navoi Airport in the Central Asian country and to run cargo flights on the Incheon-Navoi-Milano route, Korean Air said in a statement.
Korean Air will provide Uzbekistan Airways with consultation on management and running the centre over the next three months, reports AsiaPulse.
Meanwhile, Korean Air has launched cargo flight services on the Incheon-Navoi-Milano line, which will be provided three times a week.
The airline will also have passenger flights on the Incheon-Tashkent route three times a week starting on September 2.
