UPS expands international air freight service

2008-1-10

United Parcel Service, the world's largest package shipper, is expanding an international air freight service which guarantees delivery dates.

The UPS Express Freight service will be available to three times as many cities as before.

The service now reaches 52 countries. Express Freight provides overnight to three-day delivery door-to-door to major cities worldwide.

UPS has been boosting international revenue at a faster rate than in the US, where the economic expansion is cooling as housing slumps and consumer spending slows. In 2006, the Atlanta- based company's international operations accounted for 28 per cent of total revenue.
