A deal between China Eastern Airlines to sell a 24 percent stake to Singapore Airlines and Temasek Holdings will likely be ratified today.
There are no changes to what was agreed in September and it is the same stake at the agreed price.
Singapore Airlines agreed in September to buy a 15.7 percent stake in the Chinese carrier, while Singapore Airlines' parent, Temasek Holdings, agreed to simultaneously buy another 8.3 percent of China Eastern. The combined offer of US$923 million, has been approved by both China's Cabinet and China Eastern's board.
China Eastern suspended trading in its yuan-denominated A shares on Monday and said trading will resume after the agreement is signed.
The deal is still subject to approval by shareholders in a meeting in December.
