US Airways to buy seven Airbus A330-200s

2007-11-22

US Airways has ordered five additional long-range, wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

The carrier also signed a letter of intent with International Lease Finance Corporation for the lease of two A330-200s.

US Airways expects to take delivery of the five new aircraft through 2011 and induct the two aircraft from ILFC in 2009.

The company said the additional aircraft are part of its growth plan of adding about three to four new markets a year between 2009 and 2011.
