Aer Lingus Group plc announced that it has signed an agreement with Airbus SAS (Airbus) regarding the acquisition of 6 A330-300, 6 A350-900 XWB (the Airbus Purchase Agreement). Under the agreement, Aer Lingus has a right to purchase up to six additional A350-800XWB aircraft or A350-900XWB aircraft. Under the Airbus Purchase Agreement, the aircraft basic price of each A330-300 aircraft and A350-900 XWB aircraft (including the airframe basic list price, the sum of the specification change notices and the propulsion systems basic list price), as at January 1, 2006 (being the date by reference to which the basic price is quoted), was $174.4 million and $213.9 million, respectively. Thus, the list price for six Airbus A330-300 and six A350-900 XWB aircraft would, on the basis of such basic prices, be $1,046.4 million and $1,283.4 million, respectively or $2.33 billion, in total. However, the price which the Company will pay for each of these aircraft will be subject to certain downward adjustments as we have obtained certain price concessions from Airbus.
