Macao's CCPI sees rise in Q1
POSTED: 9:46 a.m. EDT, April 17,2007

Macao's composite consumer price index (CCPI) in the first quarter of this year increased 3.63 percent over the previous season, standing at 126.68, according to official statistics issued on Monday.

The government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) attributed the rise of the CCPI mainly to the price hike occurred in sectors including watch and jewelry, air travel fares, food and hotel rents.

The CCPI saw a year-on-year rise of 9.91 percent in the first quarter.
