Georgia has become the 67th member of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), an ADB report said on Monday.
Georgia's membership became effective on Feb. 2, 2007, said the report.
The report said Georgia has subscribed to 12,081 shares of the capital stock. ADB's authorized capital stock is 3,546,311 shares, equivalent to 53.06 billion U.S. dollars.
ADB, based in Manila, is dedicated to reducing poverty in the Asia and Pacific region through pro-poor sustainable economic growth, social development, and good governance. Established in 1966, it is owned by 67 members 48 from the region.
