POSTED: 10:02 a.m. EDT, January 17,2007

Express and logistics services provider DHL recently announced it will combine its Canada and Latin America divisions to form DHL Express International Americas.

The new unit will be led by Roger Crook, former CEO of DHL Latin America. His new title is CEO of DHL Express International Americas.

¡°Canada is a region of great importance for our business in the Americas,¡± said Crook in a press release. ¡°One of my primary goals is to fully maximize its potential together with that of Latin America, to turn International Americas into an even more profitable region, through extensive market growth and by maintaining our already stable position as global leaders.¡±

Crook added that the unification of these two regions will significantly boost the quality of service DHL provides to its customers.
