Net profit of Company Ust-Luga OJSC totaled RUR 22.8 million in 2006

In 2006, net profit of Company Ust-Luga OJSC totaled RUR 22.796 million, the company announces the results confirmed at the annual general meeting of the shareholders held yesterday. Half of the profit is to be spent for charity, the rest ¨C for company development.

Volume of the company¡¯s own capital investment grew 6-fold in 2006 to some RUR 2 billion. Total investment into the port construction project exceeded RUR 7 billion including over RUR 2 billion from federal budget. In 2007, it is planned to invest about RUR 10 billion in about RUR 9 billion of private investments. The first phase of a multifunctional transshipment complex Yug-2 is to be put into operation in August 2007. Its annual capacity is at least 4 million tonnes of cargo. The first phase of a terminal for transshipment of technological sulfur will be put into operation in September 2007, oil cargo transshipment complex ¨C in the first quarter of 2009.


The general meeting of the shareholders approved new membership of the company¡¯s BOD: Valeri Izrajlit, Chairman of Company Ust-Luga BOD; Alexander Droxdenko, Vice-Governor of the Leningrad region; Nickolai Posyada, Vice-Governor of the Leningrad region; Viktor Stepov, Head of Oktybrskaya Railway; Alexander Svetakov, Chairman of BOD of GC Absolut LLC; Sergei Orlov, Advisor to RZD OJSC President; Konstantin Goncharov, Director of Ust-Luga branch of Rosmorport FSUE.
