China's banking watchdog signs co-op accord with peers from 23 nations, regions

China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) has signed with the Ukraine Central Bank a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in cross-border banking regulation, the industry watchdog announced on Tuesday.

The two sides agreed that they would strengthen cooperation in information exchange, market access and field inspection, CBRC sources said.

CBRC has signed similar documents on cooperation in banking regulations with banking watchdogs from 23 nations and regions, the sources added.

The 23 nations and regions included the United States, Britain, Canada, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Italy, Australia and Russia.
