The 101st China Import and Export Fair closed in Guangzhou 30, April. In the import exhibition zone, the number of foreign buyers surpassed 200,000, reaching to 206749; the deals of export also hit the new record, reaching to 36390 million dollars. Xubing, the spokesman of Canton Fair said the import exhibition zone was a small space with huge significance, and the following Canton Fairs’ import exhibition zone would be expanded.

In the import exhibition zone, there were about 1700 exhibitioners from 36 countries and 314 companies with 629 standard exhibition spaces. During the Canton Fair, the Wall Street Journal praised that the import exhibition zone showed the open attitude of China government. The ambassadors of America in China also came to visit the import exhibition zone and said to bring more American companies to the Canton Fair, Xubing said.

Totally 206749 foreign buyers from 211 countries and regions came to the fair, up 7.3 percent than the 100th Canton Fair. Buyers from Africa were 16265, up 73.5 percent than the last fair; buyers from European were 38357, down 5.5 percent, but the deals made by the EU still the largest one which reached to 12090 million. That was because the large-size buyers increased which made more deals.

The 101st China Import and Export Fair stressed the protection of intellectual property rights and management of exhibition spaces. Ningbo Changlun Electric Device Ltd. and other five companies from Ningbo were deprived of credentials to take apart in the Canton Fair. According to the regulation of the fair, the number of Ningbo Trade Group’s exhibition spaces may reduce in the next Canton Fair.
