Chinese firm sets up logistics hub in the Emirates
POSTED: 1:55 p.m. EDT, October 11,2007

China's biggest manufacturer of construction machinery, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group, is investing US $15 million in building a regional logistics centre in Dubai.

"The Middle East is our most well-established and fastest-growing overseas market," said Qi Hong, regional director, XCMG. "We have sold more than US $400 million worth of products in the Middle East in the last three years."

XCMG already has regional offices in Dubai and Sharjah and a network of dealers and service centres across the Middle East. It is hoped the planned Dubai logistics centre will grow business in the region further.
