2008-3-21

On the 18 March 2008, JCtrans held the 2008 Freight Forwarding Conference in Qingdao. Representatives from more then 400 different enterprises attended the conference including freight forwarders, port authorities, ship owners, and trading companies. They all expressed their opinions on how to control running costs, improve marketing and the effect of the RMB's exchange rate on exports. They also all agreed that information would play an increasingly important role in overcoming the competition.

At the conference Mr. Lee Feng, CEO of JCtrans, said that JCtrans chose Qingdao as the first city to hold the conference this year, because of the amazing development that has taken place to its logistics industry. Due to the increase in globalization, the economic integration of the area around the Bohai Sea, which is focused in Qingdao, is making a great contribution to the economic development of China. Modern logistics, the Internet, e-business, and supply chain management are changing the traditional way the global economy develops.

Last year JCtrans has held the 2007 Freight Forwarding Conference in Tianjin, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Ningbo and Xiamen and attracted over 2000 logistics companies from across China. The 2008 Freight Forwarding Conference will be held in Qingdao, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen, which covers the 8 most important ports throughout China.
