Turkish PM to attend Hannover Industry Fair in Germany
POSTED: 10:35 a.m. EDT, April 14,2007

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will leave for Germany on Saturday to attend " Hannover Messe 2007", the biggest industrial fair of the world, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Friday.

During his stay in Germany, Erdogan is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the report said, adding that the two leaders will inaugurate the fair, which will be held in Hannover city of Germany on April 16-20.

According to the report, Erdogan and Merkel will visit Turkish and German pavilions at the fair. They are also expected to attend a Turkish-German business summit to be held on April 16.

Erdogan will return home later in the same day, Anatolia said.

According to an agreement signed between Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) and Deutsche Messe AG, which is organizing the event, Turkey becomes the partner country at the "Hannover Messe 2007", which will host 13 leading international trade fairs.

Russia was the partner country in 2005 and India in 2006 at Hannover Messe.
