South Korea will provide job opportunities to Nepali workers once the country's Employment Permit System comes into effect, visiting senior Korean officials said here Sunday.
Visiting South Korean Labor Minister Lee Sang Soo assured that Nepalis would be given job opportunities in the Korean labor market when meeting with his Nepali counterpart Ramesh Lekhak on Sunday,
A formal agreement regarding the issue would be officially signed in early March, local media group's website eKantipur reported, quoting Nepali State Minister for Labor Lekhak.
It is estimated that once the Employment Permit System comes into effect, an average of 5,000-10,000 Nepalis will gain employment in South Korea annually. The Nepalis who will be chosen through the new system will be earning twice more than those who go to South Korea as trainees.
