Japan's trade surplus soared in November to 915.9 billion yen (7.7 billion U.S. dollars), up 54.1 percent from a year earlier, the government said Thursday.
Exports stood at 6.63 trillion yen (56.2 billion dollars), up 12.1 percent, while imports rose 7.5 percent to 5.72 trillion yen (48.5 billion dollars), according to the Finance Ministry.
The trade surplus with the U.S. rose 7.9 percent and with other Asian nation, increased 7.1 percent, the ministry said.
