New authorities delegated to RS by Slovakia

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) and the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of Slovakia have signed a new agreement on the delegation of authority for the statutory survey of ships flying the flag of Slovakia.
The list of international instruments delegated to RS to perform surveys and issue relevant certificates on behalf of the Government of the Slovak Republic has been supplemented with the ILO Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006), revised Annex VI of MARPOL 73/78 (International Energy Efficiency Certificate) as well as the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004.
Currently, RS is recognised by the maritime administrations of 71 flag states. The main aim of this work is to enhance maritime safety standards, comply with all the applicable requirements during the construction and operation of ships and offshore facilities, ensure the efficiency and safety of maritime transport and protection of environment.
