Trade Tech, a global supplier of cloud-based solutions for the logistics industry, announced that it continues to sign up and integrate new clients as the clock ticks down on the March 1 effective date for the Japan 24-Hour Ocean Advance Filing Rules (JP24).
The JP24 regulations require ocean carriers and NVOCCs to electronically submit filings for all Japan-bound containerised ocean cargo 24 hours prior to the vessel loading at the port of origin.
Penalties apply for non-compliance.
"The biggest issue facing the forwarding community right now is the deadline for compliance with the new Japan 24-hour rule,” said Bryn Heimbeck, CEO of Trade Tech. “Now is the final push to sign up and get started.”
Heimbeck said that Trade Tech has the bandwidth to sign up any customer who has not yet complied and stresses that “there is still time”.
Trade Tech’s solutions help non-vessel operators (NVOCCs) and carriers (VOCCCs) avoid any and all penalties by making it easy for them to meet their filing requirements, Heimbeck said.
“We offer a web entry solution, an EDI solution and, if the client prefers, we can do the data entry for them.”
Heimbeck added that each of its offices around the world is able to sign up and assist customers in complying with JP24.
