JTC (Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co W.L.L.), one of Kuwait's leading logistics companies with over 30 years of expertise and operations throughout the region, are now operating at Kuwait's Shuaiba Port.
In response to a strong demand for JTC's services to be extended to Shuaiba Port, the company has obtained full licensing. The ports operations capabilities are augmented by a range of material handling equipment, qualified and experienced staff and an on-site administration office.
JTC will be offering Roll-on Roll-off stevedoring services, commonly known as 'RoRo', for the loading and discharging of vehicles and equipment from ships, a line of business JTC has been reliably providing clients for many years at the Shuwaikh Port. JTC also offers general cargo handling services.
As with all JTC operations, the company's top priority is to meet their clients' high standards and requirements at the port. By having a presence in Shuaiba, the Kuwait Ports Authority is able to offer importers/exporters a choice for their stevedoring and logistics needs.
Commenting on the start of operations at Shuaiba Port, Captain Bernd Walther, General Manager of JTC's Ports Division, stated: "The establishment of JTC at Shuaiba Port addresses two of JTC's core goals: the promise to offer both new and existing clients high value, cost efficient logistics services, and to proactively move the company forward in our growth strategy." He added, "JTC is handling large volumes of transit cargo for Iraq through the customs bonded warehouse facilities in Shuwaikh, and this service can be extended for shipments landed in Shuaiba Port. The Kuwait Ports are strategically located in the northern gulf and capable of handling more transit cargo year on year. We aim to build on our success, and our entry into Shuaiba Port ensures that JTC will be a preferred option for those in need of outstanding logistics services, and through the delivery of service excellence in all aspects of our work we will expand our client portfolio." |
