Image Line Communications’ Maritime, Energy & Offshore division has secured new contracts to provide public relations and media services to two more companies operating in the global shipping industry.
The agency has been commissioned to deliver marketing and communications support to shipmanagement company Newport Shipping and its subsidiary EcoShips, and Servowatch, a global leader in the supplier of advanced integrated ship control systems.
Newport Shipping is a ship management company, registered and headquartered in London, UK, and provides a full range of commercial and technical services both for its own fleet and third party ship owners.
Towards the end of 2013, Newport Shipping opened its first wholly owned subsidiary, Ecoships, in Istanbul, in order to gain traction in a resurgent Turkish market. The company is planning further expansion this year and next with additional subsidiary offices in Singapore and the USA.
In a separate agreement, Servowatchhas contracted Image Line to implement a brand and product awareness campaign at the forthcoming SMM event in Hamburg, Germany.
The UK-headquartered company, a subsidiary of global engineering company Larsen & Toubro, is the world’s leading supplier of automation, condition-based monitoring, surveillance and integrated platform management systems.
Designed to commercial or military standards, principally complex commercial and naval vessels, Servowatch offers a range of bespoke solutions to provide propulsion, electrical and auxiliary plant management from multifunction workstations with automation programmed into the system.
Patrik Wheater, Image Line’s PR Manager, Maritime, Offshore& Energy, said: “I am delighted that both Newport Shipping and Servowatch have selected Image Line to handle their public relations. Newport Shipping is carving a niche for itself in the eco-ship sector, specialising in the complete life cycle of energy-efficient, modern tonnage, whilst Servowatch’s presence at SMM this year is bound to spark a great deal of interest.”
