Japanese shipping giant NYK has announced the enhancement of its service network through the company's participation in the new Japan South China Thailand service (Perseus Service), according to Shipping Gazette. This new service will commence on March 22 at Laem Chabang and will be jointly operated by NYK and MCC Transport using three 5,000-TEU ships. NYK will deploy one and MCC Transport will deploy two. The rotation of the new Perseus Service will be Tokyo (Wed/Thu), Yokohama (Thu/Thu), Nagoya (Fri/Fri), Kobe (Sat/Sat), Hong Kong (Tue/Wed), Shenzhen-Shekou (Wed/Thu), Laem Chabang (Sun/Tue), Hong Kong (Fri/Sat), Xiamen (Sun/Sun) and back to Tokyo. The Perseus Service, together with the current Phoenix Service, will provide customers with more comprehensive coverage and greater service quality, said the NYK release. The current Phoenix Rotation is Kobe (Wed/Wed), Osaka (Wed/Thu), Nagoya (Thu/Fri), Tokyo (Fri/Sat), Yokohama (Sat/Sat), Laem Chabang (Sun/Sun), Bangkok (Sun/Mon), Laem Chabang (Tue/Tue), Ho Chi Minh (Thu/Thu) and back to Kobe.
