China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has changed its order at Jiangnan Changxing Heavy Industry yards from a series of three 16,000-TEU ships to 18,000 TEUers, the same as the largest boxships being built across the Yellow Sea in Korea.
The vessels are due for delivery mid-2015 and will be chartered to CMA CGM, reported SinoShipNews. Jiangnan Changxing Heavy Industry belongs to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, which is part of the CSSC conglomerate, according to the Shipping Gazette.
