The 21-day transit will meet demand from Russia, a major trade growth market of over 140 million consumers and expanding middle class for US exporters.
CaroTrans will benefit from its own team in St Petersburg and its US-based Russia trade manager to coordinate dependable cargo moves. Bonded and customs cleared on-carriage to Moscow and any warehouse or store door in Russia.
CaroTrans CEO Greg Howard said it plans to increase the service frequency to weekly by early 2014 since it developed its network in this growth region of Central Europe, the Baltics and Russia.
As of May 2013, CaroTrans entered into the Baltic, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Russia markets with a weekly LCL and FCL export service from New York. Currently, this service calls at the Port of Riga in Latvia. This service represents CaroTrans' first step in their development and investment in this growing trade area.
In North America, CaroTrans has a local network of 14 branch offices and 24 CFS (container freight stations) strategically placed to deliver reliable and secure export cargo moves to Russia.
