Carrier Transicold, the main manufacturer of refrigeration machinery for reefer containers, has awarded Depot Zona Franca with the "Good Workshop Practices 2013". This award recognizes the quality of services and good practices of Depot Zona Franca as depot of reefer containers at the EMEA area (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Carrier Transicold, one of the major manufacturers of refrigeration machinery and equipment for the transport and logistics sectors, has awarded Depot Zona Franca (Barcelona, Spain) with the "Good Workshop Practices 2013" award in recognition for its quality of services and good practices as depot of reefer containers at the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
The "Awards Ceremony 2013" took place on November 7th during the Annual Convention held by the company in Athens. Mr. JaumeVilardebo, Managing Director of Depot Zona Franca, received the Award from Mr. Shaun Bretherton, EMEA's Regional Service Manager.
Depot Zona Franca was elected by Carrier Transicold among its 154 appointed Service Centers for the proven quality in service and repairing containers activities.
Depot Zona Franca is a only reefer depot that started operations in June 2012 in Barcelona (Spain) and owns a facilities yard of 15,000 square meters for its main activity of depot and containers repair activities. The firm is currently Official Service of leading brands of machinery manufacturers for reefer containers, such as Daikin, Thermo King, Star Cool and Carrier Transicold.
In little more than one year Depot Zona Franca has become among the most importants reefer depots in the Mediterranean area and the South of Europe, thanks in part to the funds invested to allow its facilities adjacent to the Port of Barcelona to meet the growing demand of reefer containers.
Fulfilling its expansion program, during March 2013 Depot Zona Franca opened a new Service Center in Algeciras, servicing the same manufacturers' brands in the repair of reefer containers and other related services.
