Asian Freight and Logistics Group Expands its Thai Automotive Capacity

Global freight and supply chain service provider Kerry Logistics has completed the expansion of its automotive Complete Built Units (CBU) facility at the Kerry Logistics Centre Laem Chabang (KLCLC) in Thailand. An additional 2,968 square metres of warehouse space is now available, tailor-made to accommodate the storage needs of a leading European luxury vehicle manufacturer and the new warehouse space has a capacity for some 150 vehicles.

The expansion is the latest step by Kerry Logistics to develop KLCLC into a major logistics hub for the automotive industry in Thailand. KLCLC is located in the Chonburi Free Trade Zone, its total floor area is now 20,000 square metres. Currently, 80% of clients at the facility are from the automotive sector spanning from spare parts and tyres to finished vehicles. Kledchai Benjaathonsirikul, Executive Director, Thailand, Kerry Logistics commented:

"The opening of the expanded facility at KLCLC means that we can now meet growing demand from our customer for quality storage space, top level service and security."
