GE Shipping posts 3-fold rise in net profit

Backed by higher revenue from its offshore business, GE Shipping registered a three-fold increase in consolidated net profit, at Rs 81.20 crore, for the quarter ended September 30, according to Exim News Service.
The consolidated net profit in the corresponding period last year was Rs 27.31 crore. Total income rose 5 per cent to Rs 773.06 crore while revenue from the offshore segment rose 41 per cent to Rs 377.04 crore.
