Freight Agency Announces New Spain - UK Container Shipping Route

Since coming into being as recently as January 2009 when formed from three independent freight companies, Netherlands based WEC Lines BV (West European Container Lines) has continued to expand its services. The amalgamation of WEC Nederland BV, Holland Maas Shipping BV and Holland Maas Container Line BV has drawn on the collective experience of all parties and this week announced a further expansion of the company's UK - Spanish box routes.

On behalf of their principals Johnson Stevens Agencies has announced a new weekly container service between Felixstowe and the northern Spanish ports of Bilbao and Gijon, both northbound and southbound shipments can be accepted and inland haulage in Spain can also be arranged. Johnson Stevens says WEC Lines BV will be able to offer 20' dry van boxes and 40' dry van and high cubes plus special equipment including palletwides on request.

WEC already operate numerous other services including weekly to Havana , Cuba via Cristobal; Red Sea and Horn of African port calls at Massawa, Port Sudan, Djibouti, Aden and Hodeidah plus weekly sailings from Felixstowe servicing East Africa via Mombasa and Dar es Salaam.
