2010-12-6

Billed as the largest and most definitive - international maritime expo in South China's Pearl River Delta Region, INMEX China 2010 will welcome the maritime community from 8 to 10 December 2010 at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China.
Co-organised by IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd and Guangzhou Auch Exhibition Services Co. Ltd, the exhibition has garnered full endorsements from the local and international maritime community with a strong exhibitor representation of 600 participating companies from 20 countries. Exhibitors will showcase cutting edge marine technologies and innovative products and services on ship building, ship repair and marine engineering & equipment.
"With the positive China economic outlook and the turnaround of the maritime industries in this region, Auch Exhibition is confident of bringing INMEX China to greater heights with each succeeding edition together with IIR Exhibitions" said Rick Zhang, General Manager, Guangzhou Auch Exhibition Services Co.,Ltd.
The decision to hold INMEX China at Guangzhou is an inspired one - as one of the world's busiest international sea lanes, the South China Sea oversees the passage of half the world's merchant fleet every year. As a strategic maritime geographic location, Guangzhou's role as host for INMEX China is also symbolic of its recognition as the gateway for maritime industry players to meet and network.
In the midst of the Asia economy recovery this year, backed by strong Government incentives, China's shipbuilding industry has maintain steady growth and , in fact, their shipbuilding output is increased by 47% compared to 2009. China's shipbuilding industry has recorded stronger growth in ship tonnage, totaling more than 50 million deadweight tons in the first 10 months of 2010. Being the biggest comprehensive hub port in South China, Port of Guangzhou is experiencing an increase in cargo volume and ships calling in.
"We are pleased that INMEX China has expanded with each edition. The continuous expansion is timely and is especially in line with the 12-year plan by the China National Government, to position the Pearl River Delta Region as the center for international shipping, logistics and trade. INMEX China has berthed itself perfectly as the essential maritime event to support this plan." said Ms Violet Yong, Group Exhibitions Director, IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd.
