Some fishermen taking advantage of weather conditions
PORT MANSFIELD - Some people in Port Mansfield are preparing for Ike. Others are taking advantage of the high tide caused by the Category 2 hurricane.
Port Mansfield is on the south end of Ike's projected path. Choppy waters and a slight breeze are signs of the upcoming storm.
While it's unlikely the area will get a direct hit, residents have already boarded up windows and stocked up on supplies.
But others are enjoying the fishing conditions. Fishermen have been out since early this morning. They tell us the hurricane is fueling the high tide, which is bringing in more fish.
