Dubai's Hull & Hatch Lines will add a fourth ship on its Indian Ocean network, which has been restructured, according to AXS Alphaliner News.

The service that once linked the UAE, Red Sea, India and East Africa, will now deploy two loops, one for the Red Sea, and the other for East Africa, reports the Paris-based agency.

H&H has chartered the 1,388-TEU Merian, expected to be renamed H&H Wave.

The Red Sea loop links Yemen (Aden and Hodeidah) to Mundra, using the 1,277-TEU Ninos while the East Africa loop, connecting Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva and Mundra every two weeks, will deploy the 1,550-TEU Hansa St Avenger and the 1,388-TEU H&H Wave. Also the Jebel Ali-Mundra-Karachi link will now be serviced by the 812-TEU Creek.

H&H first offered container service linking UAE, Karachi and Kandla last year before launching a service between UAE, Red Sea, India and East Africa.
