Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd has been named the "Best Pharmaceutical Logistics Service Provider" (LSP) for the healthcare industry in Singapore, in an independent Voice of the Customer survey conducted by consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan.
The award, attended by senior industry and government representatives, is held annually to recognize outstanding performance by companies in the transportation and logistics industry in Southeast Asia.
Other parameters rated include its integrated warehouse facilities, security systems, response to market changes, problems-solving capabilities, and its offering of decision support tools.
"Our facilities are in compliance to QEHS management systems and our sites are GDP certified in the scope of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Medicinal Products. We are already working closely with the authorities on the latest certification for GDP Medical Devices, and we continue to align ourselves to the dynamics of Healthcare logistics," said Charlie Kok, managing director of Schenker Singapore.
Schenker Singapore's latest facility investment is a dedicated Healthcare Logistics Hub, located within the Tuas Biomedical Park. Planned for completion in mid-2009, the hub is designed and built specifically to meet stringent healthcare requirements, including strict pest control and fully-sealed docks, a company statement said.
