The 2008 China (Shenzhen) International Logistics Fair will be held in Shenzhen in early November this year and the exhibition areas this year will increase to 30,000 square metres from last year's 25,000 square metres.
Following a successful fair last year, the Shenzhen Logistics Fair this year is expected to attract more exhibitors, a statement of the organizing committee of the logistics fair said.
Regulars of the logistics fair are also expanding their own exhibition areas this year. For example, China Merchants Logistics, which also attended the fair last year, will expand its exhibition area to 300 square metres from last year's 100 square metres, the statement said.
The logistics fair is expected to be more internationalised with more overseas exhibitors. Currently there have been delegations from 12 countries confirmed places in the fair and the organizing committee expects more after the promotion activities in EU cities including Rotterdam, Hamburg, Hanover and Barcelona.
The Shenzhen Municipality also sent a delegation to Japan in early May this year to promote Shenzhen logistics industry and the 2008 Shenzhen logistics fair following the same promotions in Australia, Europe, India, Malaysia and the US.
Meanwhile, the organising committee also invited more than 300 companies from different industries to join the newly established "Shenzhen Enterprises Cooperation Alliance for Overseas Investments" and 236 of them will send delegations to visit the logistics fair.
The organizing committee has also sent 510,000 tickets to logistics companies, manufacturers and trading companies and 550,000 more tickets will be sent later, the statement said.
The organising committee said the RFID technology will continue to be a hot topic in the 2008 Shenzhen Logistics Fair and some RFID manufacturers said if more customers use RFID products, the prices of the products can be reduced greatly and cheap enough for most companies, the statement said.
The 2008 China (Shenzhen) International Logistics Fair, sponsored by Shenzhen Municipality and organized by Shenzhen Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, will be held in the Shenzhen Exhibition Centre from November 7 - 9.
