Chiwan sees big jump in April box throughput

Container throughput at Shenzhen's Chiwan Port surged by 22.2 percent in April to 555,000 TEUs from a year earlier and in the first four months of the year the port handled 2.03 million TEUs, up 9.2 percent year-on-year.

The port handled 5.84 million tonnes of cargo in April, up 30 percent year-on-year and in the first four months cargo throughput was up 10.8 percent to 21.14 million tonnes.
