APL doubles capacity in Oakland

2008-5-27

APL has completed reconstruction of its Global Gateway Central marine terminal in Oakland, California, which doubles its cargo-handling capacity without expanding its footprint.

The US$68 million renovation, jointly funded by APL and the Port of Oakland, is a follow-on from a long-term lease extension signed by the carrier in 2006.
