A Rate restoration charge of US$300 per TEU and US$600 per FEU will be levied July 1 for shipments to New Zealand from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, by the North Asia New Zealand Discussion Agreement (NANZDA).
The charge for both dry and refrigerated cargo is being introduced on top of existing market rates, and is subject to surcharges applicable at time of the shipment. Further rate restorations are expected later in the year.
NANZDA's members include Cosco, Hamburg Sud, MOL, NYK and Tasman Orient Line.
